April 12—I Kings 5:12—Church McGavren
“So the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him. There was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and the two of them made a treaty.”
We should be so blessed to have a treaty between two parties, a contract to keep a promise,
similar yet different to what the Lord gave us in the story of Noah’s ark (a treaty initiated and signed with a bow by one party). What a genuine comfort it is knowing that good will come of
the agreement, and the good intentions of each party to the treaty. How appropriate that both Hiram and Solomon worked on getting to the treaty stage.
