April 5—Isaiah 26:3—Deb Burg
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
What this means for me:
Perfect peace means calmness of my spirit, and the harmony of my family, the lack of hostilities among the peoples of my community, the acceptance of differing people in our world, harmony among countries. I feel like God is charging us to maintain peaceful hearts, and that he is trusting us to be loyal and faithful in maintaining that peace.
It makes me genuinely sad that we live in a world where peace seems so fragile. Now is a good time to pray for peace and for serenity.
Dear God, Fill me with the peace of your love and understanding, and help me to be proficient in sharing peace among the lives I touch. Amen
