April 16—Isaiah 54:10—Joan Edwards
“For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”
There have been so many times, especially recently, that I have prayed to the Lord for help and guidance, for me and for my family and friends. I truly believe He is listening to my prayers and will answer them as He sees fit. I understand that the way He chooses as well as the timing, may not be what I think I want, but I believe He knows what is needed. In His answer, regardless of the prayer or the timeliness, I do receive what I need. I know my prayers have been answered the way they need to be answered. It’s hard for me sometimes to put problems in God’s hands and feel that I can stop worrying about them, especially when it comes to my kids and family. I’m not sure I will ever be able to do that completely. I do know that I will continue to trust in the Lord and continue to seek His guidance and mercy.
