April 20—Easter Sunday—Isaiah 55:12—Brenda Norton
“For you shall go out with joy, and be led out in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall burst into song, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands””
Creator God is calling to us with the promises of many blessings – a life of fulfillment, the restoration of forgiveness. God’s words are not empty but are with a purpose! When God’s people turn, and listen, and allow the Word to work within us, joy and peace will result.
You may have heard of conversion stories which are similar, or may have experienced one yourself. Imagine that very moment – when the light bulb goes on in your mind and you “get it” for the first time! The Creator is calling to ME! The Spirit is whispering to ME! Jesus came and lived and died for ME!
At the same time, this revelation is both humbling and invigorating. We have so much joy that it’s spilling over all around us! Others can see and hear it in us! The blessing of being restored to a right relationship is so great, that all of
creation joins in our praise!
(Composer Dr. Stuart Dauermann – a Messianic Jewish rabbi – was so inspired by this verse, he turned it into an infectious chorus!)
