ONE MILE. That’s all we’re asking for this year.
It’s CROP Walk time again, a time to remember the hungry people throughout the world who must trek miles and miles each day for the basic water and food needs for their families and communities. It’s a time to remember how hard the hungry must work to get food for their loved ones.
It’s a time for us to walk because they walk.
This year, PCM will participate in the CROP Walk on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 3 PM, and all we’re asking you to do is to walk one mile. One mile is about 2,000 steps. That’s about a dozen trips between the Sanctuary and the Fellowship Hall. One mile. That’s it.
This is the 33rd annual CROP walk and 20% of the proceeds will go to support 3 local charities: Open Door Mission, Siena/Francis House and Stephens Center. We’re looking for 99 folks to walk, 33 for each charity. If you choose to walk, we hope you’ll also provide a donation for this mission.
YOU CAN DO IT! It’s just one mile. If you’re up for it, there’s a 2.5 and 5-mile walk too.
Sign up will be in the Communications Center. If you can’t walk, we hope you will donate to another walker and contribute to this great program.
LET’S DO IT, PCM! 99 WALKERS TO WALK 1 MILE TO HELP THE HUNGRY! WALK! DONATE! REMEMBER!
