The family of Dale Heston would like to say “Thank You” very much for your visits, cards, prayers and memorials to PCM. He and his sister, Dorothy, are in heaven reorganizing things up there. No more suffering, he is ok. He loved this church, as we loved him. -Joanne Heston and family Thank you for your recent contribution to Crossroads Connection Ministries. Your generosity helps us fund our programs and services including Project LIFE. Upon release from incarceration, men in the Project LIFE program are provided with safe housing without requiring up-front deposts, assistance with employment, support for obtaining community services including medical and counseling services, and encouragement and mentoring as they transition back into community life. Know that your recent and ongoing gifts are being put to productive use in our ministry for the Glory of God. Thank you.

PCM’s Mission Partner and Hunger Ministry Partner for April is Crossroads Connection Prison Ministries. Many inmates are released from prison with the clothes on their back, minimal financial resources, and limited contacts with positive influences on the outside. Crossroads helps this transition by creating a community of faith and support through a weekly worship service and fellowship meal for work release inmates, those newly released, and their families and friends. Crossroads also provides Project LIFE, Living In Freedom Eternally, which provides safe transitional housing, weekly counseling, and ongoing mentoring for budgeting, employment assistance, transportation, and other assistance for those newly released.
We wish to acknowledge the resignation of Marge Adey and Shirley Cook from the PW Board. We thank them for their years of dedicated service. Both women have given their time and talents to this group and will be greatly missed. Their resignations, along with the passing of Dorothy Norton, have resulted in our need to do some reorganization.
PCM Women’s Book Club–April 20 We will continue to hold the current Book Club meeting on the third Monday evening of every month (Karen Matthews home, 3848 No. 200th Ave.), but will offer an additional time, which will be at noon at PCM’s “Groom’s Room”. It will be a “bring your own sack lunch” and will be led by Sandie Hanna. Diane Frans will continue to lead Book Club in members’ homes that same evening. Sandie Hanna will be reviewing the book “The Lemon Tree” by Sandy Tolan.
What a beautiful Ordination ceremony and reception! The Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall were wonderfully arrayed, so conducive to a celebration. I know many hands went into making this happen, and I thank all of you. I’d like to express special thanks to Winnie Pinch and Jean Koerten for the many hours of planning, working and presenting such a beautiful reception. Thanks to our pastors, Sara and Bob and the many of you in our church family that encouraged, mentored and prayed for John. Your work is not done. Please continue to pray for him and his ministry as he seeks to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. ALLELUIA! -Mary Molacek
