The story of the Palestinian Christians—often ignored by media accounts of the Israeli-Palestinian crisis. Discussion after the film.  Sponsored by the Presbytery of the Missouri River Valley Social Justice & Peacemaking Committe.  This documentary film, produced by Yasmine Perni, will be shown at 6:30 PM. As opposed to most media accounts, this version focuses on Palestinian Christians and their particular plight. Please plan to come and discuss the film after the showing.

Attend a Showing of "THE STONES CRY OUT"

The story of the Palestinian Christians—often ignored by media accounts of the Israeli-Palestinian crisis. Discussion after the film. Sponsored by the Presbytery of the Missouri River Valley Social Justice & Peacemaking Committee “The Stones Cry Out” (56 minutes) examines the plight of the Palestinian, indigenous Christian Arab population – the direct descendants of the first followers of Jesus, often called “the forgotten faithful” in the current Middle East situation. Media coverage generally portrays Palestinians as Muslims when, in fact, they include both Muslims and Christians. Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, is now hemmed in by the “wall,” cut off from Jerusalem and robbed of much of its agricultural land. This film is all the more important for understanding the issues currently being discussed in peace talks between Israelis and Palestinians.

Seekers Starting Soon

Seekers Starting Soon

The Seekers winter session will begin on Wednesday, February 26th. Please join us for activities for all age groups. Elementary children will have opportunities to participate in music, bible study and crafts.  Teens will also enjoy music followed by Youth Group. All ages of youth will also be preparing to take part in Maundy Thursday services. Adults will have the chance to take part in a Wellness series. Topics will be offered to enhance your physical, emotional and financial well being. Watch for further details as the dates approach. Adults reading the book selection "The Book Thief", by Markus Zusak, will have discussion of the book on February 26.  As always, join us beforehand for dinner starting at 5:45 pm. $3 per person. Classes for youth begin at 6:20 pm. Adults 6:30 pm. See you there!
