"For the enlightenment of new members, and of the members who have recently joined us from Benson Presbyterian, PCM several years ago banded together with two other churches, Maplewood United Methodist and Holy Cross Lutheran, to provide the Red Cross a year-round cycle of blood drives. (The next one will be held at PCM on August 9 in Fellowship Hall.)
The ACE puppeteers performed at the Summer Arts Festival in the Old Market for the second year in a row. Many spectators, young and older, were delighted by the fabulous show. The colorful Presbyterian Church of the Master (PCM) banners waved proudly from each side of the stage.
PCM Women’s Book Club–July 20 The PCM Book Club will meet next Monday on July 20, 2015. We will have our annual POTLUCK DINNER and our ONE meeting time this month will be held at PCM in Fellowship Hall at 6:30 pm. Bring your favorite potluck dish to share. After dinner out expert reviewer for the month, Joyce Davis, will review the book “The Mockingbird Next Door” by Marja Milla. This book is about the author Harper Lee, who wrote “To Kill a Mockingbird”, which is considered one of the best books ever written. This might be a great opportunity to reread the classic “To Kill a Mockingbird” and add that to our discussion too. This is one of our yearly opportunities to bring all club members together for a meal and a review. Hope to see you then!
4th of July Celebration—PW along with Pastor Bob and Kathleen are inviting PCM members to join us at dusk on the south side of the PCM parking lot. One of the city’s best kept secrets is the marvelous view we have to enjoy the various fire work displays. The top of the hill has truly been a secret spot to view the displays without dealing with the large crowds, etc. So if you’d like to join us, bring your lawn chairs, bug spray, snack and beverages. We promise good conversation and much laughter.
