From Pastor Bob – June 4, 2014
I wish it were easier for the prefrontal cortex to take over the rest of my brain, then it may have happened when I was younger. Instead, it’s still happening. That is, every day is a continuing struggle to become a rational human being. Wouldn’t you think that by my age I would have that down?
I hated exercise. When I was a boy, I would go out and play, of course, and enjoyed the games of kickball and kick-the-can and ghost in the graveyard. So I wasn’t completely sedentary. By my teen years, however, all the games became competitive and all my competitiveness was intellectual. So I pretty much stopped playing and spent all my pleasure time lying on the sofa, reading books.
