Presbyterian Woman (PW) is the national women's organization of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A). PW is committed to nurturing faith, supporting the church's mission, working for justice and building community. We have a team of 13 women who plan and coordinate our projects. Typically, PW are organized into small groups called circles. Circles meet once a month and are currently doing a Bible study based on the Liturgical Calendar.
Book ClubPresbyterian Women Book Club (Now in its 30th Year!)The Presbyterian Woman (PW) Book Club meets the 3rd Monday of the month at the members' homes. We were first organized May 1979 with eleven people and six of the originals are still attending. It has been 28 years of wonderful books, lasting friendships and delicious desserts. We have 34 members but not everyone comes to every meeting. We average 22-25 people a meeting and have read some wonderful books with good discussions. It gets crowded at times but nobody seems to care. We have only canceled 2 meetings due to the weather - this hardy group is not intimidated with rain or snow.
In January we meet at Borders and pick the books we want to review for the year. In July we have a pot-luck and December we have a book exchange with appetizers. If you enjoy reading we would love to have you join us. Come and see what we are all about. All meetings are at 7:30. POTLUCK IN JULY IS AT 6:30! Guests and new members are welcome to any or all meetings. No notice is needed. It is preferred the selected book be read prior to the meeting, but not mandatory.
