Presbyterian Church of the Master (PCM) was founded in 1965 under the leadership of organizing pastor Rev. Robert J. Ware. 163 people of faith chose to be charter members. During worship at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 1965 they became a congregation.

From the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle, Monday April 7, 2008

The Rev. Robert Janvier Ware, 93, died April 3 in Cheyenne.  He was born Feb. 16, 1915, in Daretown, N.J.
Bob was an ordained minister in the United Presbyterian Church USA.  He earned degrees from Park College in Parkville, Mo., and San Francisco Theological Seminary. Bob served churches principally in Wyoming and Nebraska.

His first call came from Saratoga and Encampment. Next, he received a call to Norfolk, Neb.

After 12 years in Norfolk, he was called to organize and build a totally new church in Omaha, Neb. This church became the Church of the Master.

While Bob was in Nebraska, he was elected moderator of the Synod of Nebraska and chairman of Stewardship and Mission for the Synod (seven years).

He also served on the committee that planned and built the Clark Jerry Memorial Manor for senior citizens in Lincoln, Neb. Bob's leadership was sought in many ways.

Bob was known for his love of the outdoors, the building of two beautiful cabins in the Snowy Range Mountains and his love for golf.

He was especially proud that he played until the age of 92.

Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years, Pauline Brecklein Ware, whom he married on June 3, 1939, in Philadelphia. He is also survived by Connie Thomas and her husband, C. A. of Wheatland and their children, Carey Jo of Chadron, Neb., and Kevin of Wheatland.

Other survivors include his nephews, Harold and Louis Ware; nieces, Lois Green and Janice Rainey; and their families, all of New Jersey.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, George and Sarah Ware; brothers, Carroll and Leon; and one nephew, Ralph.

Due to health concerns, there will be no service at this time.

The family suggests that, in remembrance of Bob, you pass Christ's love and nurturing on to persons you meet that need a lift of caring.
